It was never clear to Genna how vampires could stay planted and couped into one location. She thought as a human not being able to get out and go places besides her home town was bad but it seemed so many times worse in her new vampire life. Maybe it was because she didn't sleep and had that many more hours to use up. She didn't exactly know. But that was her best guess at it.
Genna had finally had enough of being stuck in Volterra and booked it out of there as fast as she could. Some would say why not travel Europe? Stay Close to home. but she found it hard to do that. Maybe it was because she was from America that drew her back to the states. Once again she didn't exactly know. But again that was her best guess at it.
She had found herself on a plane crossing the Ocean to New York and now she found herself driving a car quickly through the states. She had bought it but when she went back to Volterra she would sell it. Not like it was a waste of money. Vampires seemed to always be rich. Money accumulated after time.
Genna sat in the driver seat of a sleek silver 2010 corvette stingray driving the highways that lead to a small town on the norther west coast. Sticking to the east coast wasn't a good idea in her point of view. Being her home town sat in Salem, Massachusetts, and she only dissappeared a year ago. She just didn't feel easy with it. People may recongize her and she didn't want that all though she had every nerve to go back her human home and murder her family. After all in her mind they deserved it. Maybe she'd pay them a visit before she left.
She had been driving for close to a week and a half now and she needed to feed her eyes were pitch black, the burn in her throat being ignored but a constant reminder to her to what she was and that blood was needed. She drove into the state of Washington and stopped only when she reached Seattle.
In the cover of night Genna sniffed the air as she parked her car and got out. It was the weekend and people were buzzing about in the late hours. Her blond hair hung around her shoulders down to her waist in gentle curls her pale skin illuminated in the moonlight that was soon to be covered by clouds. Pulling on her jacket as the air was cool. Well to a human it was. Not to her.
She began walking arms crossed looking for a meal. She wouldn't settle for a druggie or a drunk homeless person. Their blood was tainted and never good tasting. It left a odd taste on the mouth. She walked past the small strips of shops and finally found a guy leaving a bar. He wasn't drunk. He had, had a drink or two but his blood was clean and pure and smelt devine.
The wind blew his scent towards her and her mouth watered. Pooling with venom. He smelt of Mint, yet slightly sweet. Smirking she began walking normally as she approached him she said,
"Sir, Sir. Excuse me."
Her voice flowed from her lips like silk and she smiled sweetly as he turned and looked at her.
"I need help. you see my car broke down just down aways and I can't get any signal on my cellphone to call anyone. Can you by any chance help me?"
He seemed a bit taken by her looks and she had to stop the grin. Humans were so easily dazzled especially the men when they let the stick between their legs do the thinking. He nodded and spoke in a rough voice that was still smooth.
"Sure. I can take a look at it."
Genna gave a innocent smile and began walking backwards,
"Awe your so sweet. I really appreciate this."
She turned and began walking hearing him follow behind her. Her heels clicked on the hard paved sidewalk and she felt him come and stand to her left as they walk. She'd have to work fast when she got him to the alley. It would be obvious the car was new and wouldn't have any real trouble without it being tampered with. Genna could here his heart beating away in his chest faltering some when she would look at him.
It may have been because she looked at him with that underlaying expression that he was something to eat like a big juicy steak was to a human. But to her he was a delicious happy meal on legs.
"So are you from around here?"
Genna heard him ask, Shaking her head she spoke,
"No. I'm from the states. Massachusetts to be exact but I moved to live with some extended family in Europe. This is my first time to Washington so I don't know the area. I'm visiting a friend who may not live much longer."
It was a lie straight through the teeth but he was so caught up in her that he didn't notice nor care. Unaware of what he would soon be. Reaching the alley the car was parked near he eyed the car and she grinned.
"I came out of that diner there and it wouldn't start. I think it may have been tampered with."
She said as he looked at her and then the car. She popped the hood for him and grinned. He was looking at the cars engine and gave a low whistle. The streetlight over head flickered a few times as she stood behind him.
He turned to look at her and jumped a bit with her close proximity. He said as Genna gave a sigh
"I don't see anything wrong. You may have water in your gas tank or you left your lights on and killed the battery."
"Well I'm glad its nothing to serious."
He gave a nod and as he pulled his cell out and went to dial a number she grinned and slammed him into the alley wall before dragging him into the darkness.
"Sorry about this, Boy toy. I'm hungry. You know you would make for one hell of a sexy vampire but I just don't have the time to deal with a newborn. But you do smell oh so devine."
She chuckled lightly running her nose along his neck as she drawled in his scent. and covered his mouth with her hand she opened her mouth. revealing her fangs she bit into his neck and began letting the warm liquid that was like a drug run down her throat. He screamed and fought for awhile but soon gave up falling limp.
Genna drained him dry kissed his cheek and walked out of the ally as she used her finger to wipe the blood from her lips. Licking the single trickle of blood from her finger she walked to her car, leaving the body behind the dumpster. Propped against the wall.
Climbing into her car she started the engine. Her eyes now a bright vibrant red. She pulled from her parking spot and headed through Seattle. Going through Port Angeles she turned her music up loudly and began singing along to Missery Bussiness by Paramore.
Daylight crossed the horizon and spread a dim light on the earth through the clouds as she reached Forks Washington. Her sunglasses were placed over her eyes and she parked her car on the side of the road near the woods. Reaching into her back seat she grabbed her converses and put them on. Not wanting to ruin her heels in the forest. Getting out of the car she began walking through the trees.
Searching for something. Out of Boredom that she didn't know what was it at the current time. She was just doing a bit of exploring.
